Genomics Core Briefs::


Data Analysis through Bioinformatics May 10, 2007 - The Bioinformatics Shared Service has formally taken over analysis of all microarray data. We will still meet with users to discuss experimental issues. If you want to contact Bioinformatics for analysis of your microarray data, email: bioinf@email.arizona.edu or call 621-2464.

New Affymetrix Arrays October 10, 2007 - We have sucessfully implemented the new Affy ST arrays for human, mouse, and rat. When purchased in packs of 10, these arrays can be run for $425 per sample. This is a 41% discount compared to running a 3-prime GeneChip!


Nimblegen has arrived August 2007 - We have implemented the Nimblegen microarray services and arrays as of August. Contact us if you want to use this new platform.


New Prices July 9, 2007 - Our prices for full service hybridizations have increased to cover the increased costs of reagents.


Affymetrix Gene Expression for $450 $425 sample! June 6, 2007 - Affymetrix has new arrays (http://www.affymetrix.com/products/arrays/specific/hugene_1_0_st/hugene_1_0_st.affx) available for gene expression analysis in human, mouse, and rat at a greatly reduced cost.


Agilent Bioarrays are here! May 22, 2007 - We have implemented the Agilent microarray services and arrays. You can read about it on the Help/FAQ page (link is on the top right of this page).


Acknowledge the Core Feb 12, 2007 - please acknowledge the Genomics Core is papers using data generated by us, we use these acknowledgements to justify our funding which in turn lowers the price we have to charge for services. Sample acknowledgement: "Microarray data generated by the Genomics Core at the Arizona Cancer Center; supported by the Southwest Environmental Health Sciences Center, NIEHS grant ES06694, and the Arizona Cancer Center, NIH grant CA23074."
